Dacusville Diggers
Dacusville Middle School is looking for a few students who aren't afraid of a little dirt!
If you like gardening, working outside, and don't mind getting a little dirty, then the Dacusville Diggers Club might be for you! The club utilizes the greenhouse, as a way to connect with the Dacusville Community and to beautify our Dacusville Middle School grounds. This agricultural club will be sponsored by Mrs. Powell. The student activities will include:
- Learning about and maintaining the greenhouse.
- Starting vegetable and flower plants from seed.
- Caring for growing plants in the greenhouse.
- Transplanting seedlings for sale at our annual flower sale.
- Planting hanging baskets for sale at our annual flower sale.
- Planning the annual flower sale in the spring: pricing, set up, advertisement, and managing sales.
- Creating plant markers, etc.
- Creating and maintaining the habitat gardens at DMS.
Working in the DMS greenhouse is a fun and rewarding learning experience for all involved.
